A LITTLE GUIDANCE

How to use QR code generator

Choose text/URL, Wi-Fi or a contact card. Fill in the fields, choose error correction and export PNG or SVG. Scan the code with your device before sharing it.

Good to know

The payload is limited to 2,000 UTF-8 bytes. Wi-Fi and contact handling depend on the scanner. Wi-Fi codes contain the password: share them only with intended recipients.

A few quick answers.

Why can my phone not scan the code?

Keep the white border, sufficient printed size and strong contrast. Long input creates denser codes. Test the downloaded image on your target phone before printing.

Is my input sent to a server?

No. This tool processes your input in your browser. We don't store your text, files or results. Standard website access logs are separate; read our privacy notes.

Can I use it for free?

Yes. No account, subscription or usage credits are required.

How do I keep my result?

Use Copy or Download after running the tool. Inputs are not saved automatically and disappear when you leave or refresh the page.

Sharing and printing a scannable QR code

Choose the payload, not just the appearance

Text or URL encodes exactly what you enter; include https:// for a web link. Wi-Fi supports WPA/WPA2 or open networks and an optional hidden-network flag. Contact card creates a vCard 3.0 with name, phone and email. Scanner support varies: test the intended phone and confirm the decoded destination or fields.

PNG pixels versus scalable SVG

Choose a target PNG size of 256, 512 or 1024 pixels. The encoder can round the dimensions; the result report shows the actual exported width and height. Dense codes may need more pixels. SVG is a vector export with a module-based viewBox, not a fixed-resolution bitmap. The workspace preview remains a canvas. Keep SVG for scalable layout, or choose a sufficiently large PNG instead of enlarging a small bitmap.

Keep the quiet zone and test the actual print

Both exports include a white quiet zone four modules wide on each side. Do not crop it or place graphics over the code. Keep strong dark-on-light contrast. There is no universal guaranteed print size: payload density, printer quality, scanning distance and camera matter. Print a sample at the intended size and scan that sample, not only the on-screen preview. Higher error correction increases redundancy but can make a code denser; it is not a promise that a covered or damaged code will scan.

Static does not mean an editable destination

These are static QR codes: the encoded data cannot be changed after export. No tracking redirect, scan statistics or hosted destination management is provided. A URL still depends on the linked website remaining available. Wi-Fi passwords and contact details are readable by anyone with the image; share only with intended recipients. The payload limit is 2,000 UTF-8 bytes, including Wi-Fi or vCard formatting, and the selected correction level can impose a lower capacity.

For page layout, check color contrast. Avoid resizing a QR bitmap unless needed; scan the final exported or printed code after any change.

Keep your flow going.
